    MAIN ACTIVITY: Fertilizers and related products.
    ANCHORAGE AREAS: please see "Gulf of Izmit" (Information on best location of anchorage will be given by Pilot station)
    PILOTAGE: : is compulsory in the Gulf of Izmit from Darica to the port and for berthing and unberthing and anchoring, provided by the Dekas Pilot.VHF channels 12, 16.
    TOWAGE: and/or mooring boat compulsory arranged by pilot and and provided by the the Med-Marine.
    BERTHING: Sometimes Vessels are to berth stern wards depending occ. and availability of berth. if Berthing alongside 6" flexible hoses are required for the distance between the ships manifold and the ships rail (abt 12 m). If vessel berthed stern wards and vessel has no permanent stern line vessel to provide flexible hoses long enough from ships manifold to stern and plus about 15 m long hoses for the distance between ships stern and shore connection. Height from the sea 2.5 m.
    CARGO HANDLING EQUIPMENT: 2 shore cranes 4 and 6 tons, and conveyor for discharging operations (300tons/hr). Weigh-bridge; 1x60 tons and 1x80 tons. Hoses from tank to manifold 200 m.
    CARGO HANDLING RATES: Load/Unload fertilizers in bulk 2.000 tons/day, in bags 1000 tons/day by 2 cranes. Liquid cargoes 6inc 350 tons/hr (alongside), 200-250tons/hr (stern fast) River type and single decked vessels preferable.
    STORAGE AREA: 10.000 tons open area and 60.000 tons (18.000 sq.m.) warehouse included bonded area for cargoes in bulk. Parking area; 5.000 sq.m. 2 tanks with a total cap. of 24.000 tons,for liquid cargoes.
    FRESH WATER: available by barge.
    BUNKER: available by barge only.
    AIRPORT: At Istanbul distance apprx. 115 km from the port.
    WORKING HOURS: operates 24 hours a day year round.
    GARBAGE REMOVAL: service is by barge.
    WASTE OIL DISPOSAL: available by barge.
