    LOCATION: 40° 43' 10" N, 29° 53' 05" E.
    MAIN ACTIVITY: Loading and discharging logs, pvc, papers iron and steel products. Also offering services
    to third parties.
    ANCHORAGE AREAS: please see "Gulf of Izmit" (Information on best location of anchorage will be given by Pilot station)
    PILOTAGE: is compulsory in the Gulf of Izmit from Darica to the port and for berthing and unberthing and anchoring, provided by the Dekas Pilot.VHF channels 12, 16.
    TOWAGE: and/or mooring boat compulsory arranged by pilot and and provided by the the Med-Marine.
    BERTHING: Tankers mooring by stern tied-up to the jetty and the buoys. Ships use both anchors from their bow. If vessels has no permanent stern Line, vessels to provide flexible hoses long enough from ship's manifold to stern and plus about 10 meters long hoses for the distance from stern to shore connection. Hoses length from tank to manifold is 450 m. A pier with two berths, a tank terminal and general cargo. Berth no. 1 for dry cargoes, specialized for logs and cargoes in bulk (i.e. coal, etc.), berth no. 2 for dry cargoes and small tankers. Max.dwt. up to 40.000 allowed.Height from the sea level 2.5m.
    CARGO HANDLING EQUIPMENT: All handling equipments supplied by stevedores. Mostly Ship's cranes to be used. Two weigh-bridge of 80 tons and 100 tons.
    STORAGE AREA: open area of 145.000 sqm for storage. A total tanks capacity for 12.000 cbm. for chemical, oil and fuel products. 10 tanks x 650 cbm, 6 tanks x 370 cbm, 4 tanks x 230 cbm, 6 tanks x 135 cbm to be used as custom bonded store.
    CHEMICALS CONNECTION AVRG. RATE: Chemicals 1x3inc., 1x4inc. 25-50 tons/hr. (loading), 1x3inc., 1x4inc. 100-125 tons/hr. (discharging).
    FRESH WATER: available by barge.
    BUNKER: available by barge only.
    AIRPORT: At Istanbul distance apprx. 135 km from the port.
    WORKING HOURS: operates 24 hours a day year round.
    GARBAGE REMOVAL: service is by barge.
    WASTE OIL DISPOSAL: available by barge.
