LOCATION: Southern side of the Marmara Sea about 5 nautical
miles from Bandirma, 40° 24' N, 27° 59' E
ANCHORAGE AREAS: Good anchorage in roads a few cables off the
entrance to harbour in depths up to 7m.
PILOTAGE/TOWAGE: compulsory. The jetty is private but
pilotage and towage and mooring boat services are operated by TCDD
Pilot(Turkish Railway Administration).VHF channels 12,13,14 and 16.
BERTHING: Private piers. From jetty to each mooring dolphin

CARGO HANDLED: Used for
discharging and loading phosphates, sulphur in bulk, sulphuric acid,
phosphoric acid, ammonia, bulk and/or bagged fertilizer are export-import

CARGO HANDLING EQUIPMENT: One moving cranes available on old
pier with 10 tons lifting capacity which load bulk cargoes into
bunker which is connected to conveyor belt with discharging capacity
up to 3.000 tons daily. Receiving capacity of products is 150/400
tons/hr.
