MAIN ACTIVITY: Alemdar port consists of 4 berths, 6 pipe-lines,
a tank terminal, an open storage area, warehouses, All under custom
control (bonded area), where we serve our customers for loading,
unloading, storing, blending, drumming, marking and weighing of
their bulk or dry cargoes. (Major industries using oleo chemicals
are soap, plastics, rubber, petrochemical, paint, food, paper,
lubricating greases, explosives, candles, emulsifiers, cosmetics,
pharmaceuticals, chemical intermediates, textile and leather
auxiliaries, etc.)
ANCHORAGE AREAS: please see "Gulf of Izmit" (Information on
best location of anchorage will be given by Pilot station)
PILOTAGE: : is compulsory in the Gulf of Izmit from Darica to
the port and for berthing and unberthing and anchoring, provided by
the Dekas Pilot.VHF channels 12, 16.
TOWAGE: and/or mooring boat compulsory arranged by pilot and
provided by the Med-Marine.
BERTHINGS: Jetties are used for general and liquid cargoes
for discharging and loading. No shore cranes available on jetties.

PIPE LINES: 1 Piggable pipe-line
with 8 inc. diameter, 3 pipe-lines with 6inc. diameter (Two of them
are insulated and one has steam tracing in it). 2 Pipe-lines with 4
inc. diameter compressed airline, 2 inc. diameter steam line.
TANK TERMINAL: Custom bonded 86 tanks from 120 m3, up to 5270
m3, with a total capacity of 92.223m3, equipped with heating coils.
Terminal No 1: 41 tanks, capacity 56686 m3. (120 m3 - 5270 m3).
Terminal No 2: 41 tanks, capacity 29202 m3. (365 m3 - 1567 m3).
Terminal No 3: 4 tanks, capacity 6335 m3. (1435 m3 - 2000 m3).
STORAGE AREAS: 7.000 m2 custom bonded warehouses, 60.000 m2
open custom bonded area, additional
30.000 m2 open area for storage of custom cleared goods and local
product.
CARGOES: General cargo (dry and bulk), fast and oils,
chemicals, solvents and petroleum products.

SHORE CRANES: Port has own
cranes 3 mobile cranes (80 -100) possibility to rent more powerful
mobile cranes. Weigh-Bridges 1x 60t. , 3 x80t.
TRANSIT OPERATION: Transit cargo for all destinations is
acceptable. Cargoes discharged at our port may
be sold to a Turkish buyer on foreign currency basis, or may be
imported and introduced into the local
market or may be redelivered to another country.
FRESH WATER: available by barge.
BUNKER: available by barge only.
AIRPORT: At Istanbul distance apprx. 84 km from the port.
WORKING HOURS: operates 24 hours a day year round,
GARBAGE REMOVAL: service is available by barge.
WASTE OIL DISPOSAL: service is available by barge or trucks.
